Facial Fillers
Injectable facial fillers provide a smoother, more youthful facial appearance without surgery and with only minimal recovery time. Many women and men from Cheyenne and Rapid City choose facial fillers to look younger, when they are not ready for cosmetic surgery. Today, there are many non-surgical options available including soft tissue fillers and fat transfers.

Soft Tissue Fillers
Soft tissue fillers are injectable products used to restore lost volume in the face. These products can be placed in the layers of the skin to reduce fine line and wrinkles or deeper in the fatty tissues to fill out facial folds and plump up the lips. Commonly treated areas of the face include crow's feet and laugh lines. Available "out of the box" fillers at Monument Plastic Surgery include Restylane®, JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel, and Sculptra®.
Structural Fat Transfer
Filling of facial folds and plumping of the lips can also be accomplished by transplanting the body's own fat tissue into the face. This surgical procedure structural fat transfer can be done under local anesthesia in our plastic surgery office and involves removal of a small amount of fatty tissue from the abdomen or thigh by liposuction. The fat is then purified and concentrated and placed into the smile lines and/or lips through tiny incisions near the corner of the mouth. The results of this procedure typically last up to 1 year and can be permanent in some cases.
